Update on GVG

Those of you in the know will know about the blip. What you may not know is I'm still in the process of tidying up to meet some recent demands by the host (All reasonable, but time consuming).

Good news: I will be forking out for Lets Fish and already have Ni No Kuni on the way, as well as numerous other reviews to re-upload. Woo.

Edit 2: Wiped 99.8% of all user accounts. Spam protection has been updated and hopefully will save me ending up with another 2Gb database...

Wii U Time Limit purchases - Nowt before 11pm

Update: There's a video below which shows that this isn't just rumours or user error.

The picture\video above? Taken from my personal Wii U. The problem? You can't buy adult rated content before 11pm - This is even if you have your account linked to Club Nintendo with appropriate ages set. So now people have to stay up late on work nights\shift patterns if they want adult content. Whoops. We have no word from Nintendo on this. Video to follow...

Combat advanced?

Halo is synonymous with Xbox. Originally its launch title for the original console back in 2001, Halo: Combat Evolved featured a new perspective on the FPS genre and is seen amongst the gaming community, as the Granddad of modern titles. If you look long and hard enough, the majority of shooters released over the last decade have signs of Master Chief and it could be argued, paved the way for new forms of waging war in the digital landscape.

Norfolk types claim their murder was like Resident Evil

It's bad enough when there's a murder in Norfolk, as usually it's either a farmer protecting his land from unarmed teenagers or some pillock(s) acting stupid and going "hyuk hyuk I think imma gut this guy like a piiiiiiiiiig and then Imma brand him with mah naaaaaame and no-one will know what happened". Being not just a Norfolk boy but an evil genius, this offends me in every way possible.

Kojima LA developing Metal Gear Online, looking for staff

Blip

Remember Metal Gear Online? It was part of Metal Gear Solid 4 and wasn't actually too bad... I say remember, because you'll find you won't be playing it online anymore. Miss out on it? Fear not, for Kojima Productions LA is developing it! Well... They're clearly not that far in to it, seeing as they're looking for staff. Of course if you're an established developer and looking to enjoy some LA sun, you could always send off your CV. No word yet on if this will be a stand-alone title or it will be bundled with a future title (Read: Ground Zero).

We Sing 80's promo video... For the NES! *Cough*

News:

This is probably one of the funniest promo videos to come from a UK studio in a long time - Heck it almost makes me wish there really was a NES version. We Sing 80's on the Wii will be out on the 5th October.

Borderlands 2 is one of those games which has had a significant amount of hype thanks to a surprisingly solid predecessor. Sure, the original had its faults but what it offered brought something new and fresh to the FPS scene by essentially being a hybrid of Diablo-esque loot collection with all the fun of a simple shooter. The question is can the follow up truly meet the high standards met by the latest games, or have Gearbox merely dialled in a quick cash boost with a barely any thought? Read on to find out... Although...
